Jon Sell


Jon supports businesses and investors to analyse, respond to and shape the political, policy and regulatory issues in their environment, focused on technology, innovation, finance, clean growth and regional policy. His work ranges from advising global companies to early-stage businesses spanning a number of sectors, including advanced manufacturing, digital and data, life sciences, energy, finance, and national and local government.

He was previously a senior Treasury official where he led policy and spending on business, energy, industrial policy, R&D, clean growth, and corporate and venture finance. Before that, he held a number of roles across the centre of government, working on economic and regional development issues including in the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit.

Jon is also an Advisor to the International Monetary Fund, with experience in advising governments around the world on public policy and delivery, is a Churchill Fellow, and holds a University of Cambridge Fellowship in financing the technological shift to net zero.
