Before Joining Flint Rhys spent 7 years advising ministers as a civil servant, first at HM Treasury and then at the Department for International Trade.
At the Department for International Trade, he led the team developing the UKs customs and origin administration propositions for free trade agreements with non-EU countries, working closely with businesses.
At HM Treasury Rhys worked primarily on financial services, including a placement at the Bank of England for the Fair and Effective Markets Review. He also helped develop the UK’s position on various aspects of EU financial services regulation.
