Jaz uses economic analysis and modelling to advise clients on complex competition, regulatory and strategy challenges across multiple sectors, including in financial services.
Prior to joining Flint, Jaz was Head of Strategy at the Financial Conduct Authority and was responsible for developing the organisation's first-ever long-term strategy, along with its regular Business Plan and Annual Report. Earlier in his time at the FCA, Jaz worked as a senior economist in charge of modelling the costs and benefits of proposed retail market policies and developed a programme of policy evaluations.
Jaz’s career also includes extensive economic consulting experience. As an Associate Director at KPMG and a Managing Consultant at PA Consulting, Jaz used his expertise in economic modelling to advise clients globally on engagement with policymakers, regulators, and competition and tax authorities, with significant focus on consumer goods and sports. He has supported clients through commercial disputes, including testifying as an expert witness.
