Markus advises clients on policy, political and regulatory issues in Germany and Europe, he is based in Berlin.

Before joining Flint Markus led the public affairs team of the Association of German Banks in Bonn and Berlin and built their EU activities in Brussels. As Managing Director and later Chief Operating Officer of the association he was responsible for corporate finance, economics, international affairs and membership relations. He has worked on all major business critical EU and German financial services regulations. Markus has deep expertise in how regulation and policy are shaped and made in Berlin.

He also served as a member of the executive committee of the European Banking Federation. Markus holds a Master of Science in Business Administration and served in supervisory boards in the financial industry.
