Anna advises clients on EU and UK political and regulatory developments across a range of sectors.
Before joining Flint, Anna led the United Nations Refugee Agency’s (UNHCR) engagement with the European Parliament. Prior to this, she was a Home Affairs Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of Malta to the EU. During the 2017 Maltese Presidency of the Council of the EU, she chaired three Council preparatory bodies and served as the Council’s lead negotiator in trilogues with the European Parliament and the European Commission on asylum policy. She has also worked for the European Commission, within the Trade and Development Section of the Delegation of the EU to Jamaica and on health and consumer policy at its Brussels headquarters.
She has written on European and international politics for The Economist and has been invited by the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) to train diplomats on EU institutional procedures
