Surjinder uses economic modelling and analysis to advise clients on the impact of government policies, including taxation, as well as on developments in the broader economic climate and outlook.

Surjinder joined Flint from the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR), where he spent nine years leading the policy costings process, working closely with analytical and policy teams in the Treasury, HMRC and across Whitehall to estimate the public finance impact of every new Budget measure. Surjinder also worked with the devolved administrations in leading the OBR’s forecasting of tax and spending in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Prior to this, Surjinder held several senior roles during a ten-year spell in HMRC, spanning the breadth of the UK tax system and including overall responsibility for HMRC’s Budget policy costings.

Surjinder has a PhD in economics.
