Sungmi, based in Seoul, Korea, is a former senior executive at several leading technology companies, with an extensive understanding of policy issues in the Korean tech sector and a broad network.

From 2021 to 2022, Sungmi served as the Executive Vice President at Seegene Inc., where she oversaw global marketing and product launches in the biotechnology sector. Prior to this, she held the position of Vice President of Consumer & Device Sales at Microsoft Korea from 2016 to 2019. Her career also includes executive roles at IBM Korea and Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, focusing on business policy and strategy development. Additionally, Sungmi has a background in consulting, having worked on various business development projects at McKinsey & Company.

Sungmi is equally committed to mentorship and nurturing future talent. She has an advisory role at Sungkyunkwan University's Start-up & Entrepreneurship Foundation and participates in the Women Young Generation Mentoring program by the Korean Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
