Alonso advises clients on issues in competition, regulation and policy in the UK and Europe.

Prior to joining Flint, Alonso worked across a wide range of policy areas, with roles in the Peruvian government, the World Bank and the private sector. Recent examples of his work include supporting a political client during the 2024 U.S. election by leveraging data and statistical analysis, and helping a major water company in the UK target support to customers experiencing financial stress.

Alonso holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago, where he specialised in data analytics and microeconomics. Prior to that, he earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Alonso is fluent in English and Spanish.
