James Purnell today begins his new role as chief executive officer of Flint Global. Taking on the executive leadership of the firm from managing partners Simon Fraser and Ed Richards, James will lead the next phase of Flint’s successful story.
With continued support and engagement from Simon and Ed as founding partners and board members, James takes up his position at a pivotal time for Flint as we develop our services and build up our international presence across Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Speaking on his new role James said, “I'm delighted to be starting at Flint today. This is a moment when governments are keen to hear from businesses. I'm looking forward to meeting all our clients to work out how we can seize that opportunity. Flint has an enviable track record of delivering for its clients, with a great reputation for the quality and depth of its analysis and advice. I am looking forward to continuing this legacy with the additional insight and strengths I can bring to the Flint team as we begin this new Flint chapter.
"Founding partner Simon Fraser said, “This is an exciting and important moment for the company. Ed and I will help to manage this transition smoothly to ensure James, our clients and Flint staff are supported through the change. Ed and I will continue as members of the Flint Board and will remain active in the company in areas such as strategic planning, major client work, business development and senior recruitment.”
James Purnell joins Flint Global as the next step in an exceptional career as a political adviser, Cabinet Minister, senior BBC executive and university Vice-Chancellor.
