Flint has expanded its global footprint with the opening of a new office in Australia. Our growing team will strengthen Flint’s advice to clients on political, policy and regulatory developments across a range of sectors. As a global firm, the team in Australia will draw on and integrate the experience of Flint colleagues across Asia, Europe and the UK, bringing an international perspective to local issues.
Leading the expansion is Flint Partner Katie Whitting, who returns to her native Australia after nearly five years with Flint at its London headquarters. Prior to joining Flint, Katie spent more than 15 years with the Australian Government, including roles in central agencies in Canberra and diplomatic postings abroad.
About her new role, Katie said, “I am excited to return to Australia and bring Flint’s distinctive, high-quality advice to clients in a new market. I am looking forward to building a business that delivers the policy and regulatory insight and expertise we are known for elsewhere.”
Flint CEO James Purnell said, “Opening an office in Australia is a natural next step given our existing presence across Asia and the strong ties between Australia and the markets where Flint already operates. An on-the-ground presence means we will be able to support clients more effectively while providing the depth of advice they rely on across our network”.
Katie will initially be supported by Flint’s existing team of senior advisers based in Australia, as well as our Australian expertise and experience across the wider Flint network. Flint’s office is in Melbourne, with an advisory presence across Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane.
