Flint hires Sam White, former Chief of Staff to Keir Starmer

05 Mar, 2024

We are pleased to announce that Sam White will be joining Flint as a Specialist Partner on 18 March.

Sam has done some of the toughest jobs in politics and government as Keir Starmer's Chief of Staff for the turnaround of the Labour Party and Alistair Darling's long-serving adviser during the Global Financial Crisis. He has worked across Whitehall, in devolved administrations and with intergovernmental bodies, and covered briefs including the Treasury, transport, energy, business and trade during the last Labour Government.

Sam also spent a decade as a senior executive at Aviva, one of the UK's largest insurance companies, advising the CEOs and Board. He is proud of authoring Aviva's Net Zero 2040 plan, which remains one of the most ambitious and comprehensive climate plans for a major financial services company.

We are delighted to welcome Sam to the Flint team, with his exceptional experience of working with senior Labour politicians and business leaders. He will be advising Flint’s clients on strategy, sustainability issues, financial services and how the Labour Party works in government and opposition.
