Dharmesh joins Flint from the UK Civil Service where he advised ministers on business strategy, energy policy, education and labour markets policy. He advises clients on policy, political and regulatory issues across industrial strategy, R&D and energy policy and decarbonisation.
Immediately before joining Flint, Dharmesh worked at BEIS where he was head of the Secretary of State’s Implementation Unit, overseeing the delivery of priorities including audit reform, industrial decarbonisation, and preparation for Brexit. At BEIS Dharmesh also led on appraisal of all strategic and economic investment proposals across R&D and energy policy.
Prior to this Dharmesh led on higher and further education funding strategy at the Department for Education and negotiated and secured funding for Technical-Levels. Dharmesh has also worked as an economist at the Department for Work and Pensions, conducting analysis on labour markets, and problem debt. Dharmesh has a degree in economics, and has expertise in economic appraisal.
