Alex leads Flint’s investor services work. He helps investors and asset managers to deliver sustainable returns by managing political and regulatory risk effectively.
Alex’s career has been spent in the intersection between banking, capital markets and political risk. He was previously the Chief Political Analyst at JP Morgan, where he led the Investment Bank’s global research practice on politics and policy. Alex advised the Operating Committee of the firm and its largest clients, and was one of the most in-demand analysts on Wall Street.
Before joining Flint, Alex ran the Country Analysis business at the Economist Intelligence Unit, leading a global team of analysts covering economics and politics. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Advisor at HM Treasury, where he was responsible for managing financial sector risk during the 2008 crisis and led the creation of the UK’s resolution regime for investment banks. Alex began his career in private equity, and has lived and worked in China.
