Tamim advises a range of financial services and energy clients on regulatory, policy and competition issues.
Before joining Flint, Tamim was a Senior Associate at the FCA where he supervised Principal Trading Firms in wholesale markets, including algorithmic and commodity trading firms. This included supervision through the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the Economics directorate, he supported the FCA's role at the Financial Stability Board, covering technical topics such as MMFs, and other standard-setting bodies. In the Competition directorate, he worked on a range of projects including competition assessments for wholesale markets and policy papers.
At Flint, Tamim helps firms navigate developments in the regulatory, policy and competition landscape and provides strategic and technical expertise to secure positive business outcomes. He has supported firms including market infrastructure providers and exchanges and wrote a paper for the OECD on competition in energy markets.
