Mary is a Partner in the Competition and Regulation practice. She advises clients on economic, competition and regulatory issues primarily in the tech, financial services and energy sectors.
Mary was previously Executive Director for Consumers and Markets at the energy regulator Ofgem, leading Ofgem’s work on retail markets, innovation, vulnerable consumers and enforcement. Before that, she was the Director of Competition and Chief Economist at the Financial Conduct Authority and was also a Senior Director at the Office of Fair Trading (now the CMA). Earlier in her career, Mary worked on regulatory and competition issues in economic consultancy, at the New Zealand Commerce Commission, and at the Bank of England.
At Flint Mary has advised a range of corporate and investor clients on forthcoming regulation, competition and regulatory investigations, transactions and other scenarios where current or future regulation has serious business impacts.
