Before joining Flint, Maria spent two years at HM Treasury, working on customs negotiations and later as secretariat for the UK-EU trade committee on customs cooperation and rules of origin. She also advised ministers on wider international engagement strategy within multilateral organisations, and on managing historical EU infractions following the UK’s exit from the EU.
Prior to HM Treasury, Maria worked as a senior adviser to an MP in Parliament; on trade policy in other Whitehall departments; and on education policy at a think tank.
