James advises clients on regulatory and policy issues in a range of sectors.
Before joining Flint, James was Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive and Chair of Ofgem. He provided expert advice on regulatory, policy and corporate matters and had responsibility for Ofgem’s corporate governance. He was previously Ofgem’s Head of External Relations, where he coordinated the regulator’s engagement within government, as well as with the devolved administrations and Parliament.
Previously James held several senior policy and communications roles for the Labour Party, including as a political advisor to the Shadow Cabinet.
Earlier in his career he was a senior manager at the Financial Ombudsman Service.
