Sustainability
We help corporate firms and investors across the UK and Europe to navigate the increasingly complex political, policy and regulatory environment on sustainability. Our work directly shapes our clients’ corporate strategy, helping them secure commercial advantage and manage the fast-changing external environment.
We work across all aspects of the sustainability agenda, from supporting companies developing and financing clean infrastructure, to those enabling the transition to a green financial sector. We advise our clients on how to cut through the wide range of government and voluntary initiatives, allowing them to manage risk and capitalise on tangible opportunities to secure commercial advantage in a fast-changing external environment. We take a hands-on approach, using our understanding of the detail to offer invaluable advice to corporates and investors.
Our work on sustainability forms part of our wider ESG offer, where we use our deep understanding of how the political and regulatory environment shapes ESG expectations, ensuring our clients become known for their leadership on delivering wider social value.
We offer a variety of services across the sustainability space:
- Conducting detailed policy, political and regulatory assessments which allow our clients to identify areas of commercial risk and opportunity across the full spectrum of ESG issues.
- Supporting companies to develop ambitious sustainability strategies that enable them to advance commercial propositions in new markets and manage investment and reputational risks that stem from inaction.
- Working with corporates and investors to put sustainability strategies into practice, including through unlocking policy and regulatory changes that will help them deliver on their ambitions.
- Working with deployers of capital on sectoral and asset due diligence to shape their strategy and recommending actions to achieve alignment with investor ESG expectations.
- Helping develop the case to advance complex clean infrastructure projects that require new financing mechanisms or funding allocations from Government.
- Providing comprehensive support through price control and other regulatory processes to companies in the utilities sector, with a focus on how sustainability considerations should shape future investment plans.
