Manuel advises Flint’s clients in the telecoms, energy and financial services sectors, with a particular focus on Central and Eastern Europe.
Before joining Flint, Manuel served as the Romanian Deputy Minister of Economics in charge of Foreign Investment and Trade and then as a Member of the Romanian Parliament. During his time in government, he set-up and ran InvestRomania, the country’s trade and investment agency, focusing on creating a more attractive environment for foreign companies in Romania. He also advised and oversaw the operations of some of Romania’s largest state-owned enterprises.
Manuel is currently Investment Director for the Soros Economic Development Fund, a social impact investment fund specialising in emerging markets. Previously in his career, Manuel spent over 10 years advising public sector clients in Europe for JP Morgan and as a management consultant for McKinsey in New York.
