Alex supports clients across a range of regulatory and policy issues, with a particular focus on the telecoms, media and technology sectors. Based in London, he has supported clients on issues such as regulatory clearance of public interest test mergers, the transposition of EU Directives including the Electronic Communications Code, negotiations around the relocation of a public corporation’s HQ outside of London, and responding to Ofcom initiatives on broadband rollout.
Before joining Flint, Alex worked in the No 10 Policy Unit where he advised the UK Prime Minister on economic affairs, leading her business responsibility and inward investment agendas. Prior to this, he spent 5 years at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in a number of senior roles including Head of Digital Infrastructure and Private Secretary to the Secretary of State. One highlight of his work at DCMS was delivering major reform to the way property rents are valued in the telecoms sector.
